Xperia XZ Premium Specs, Features: Know Why This Phone Is a Great Buy
Sony unveiled its new smartphones at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress 2017, including the Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZs, Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra.
A variant of the Xperia XZ, the Xperia XZ Premium boasts of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, which tech experts consider as one of its best features. Aside from its processor, its motion eye camera is also another feature to beat. The smartphone comes with a 960-fps Motion Eye camera, which is also a special feature of the Xperia XZ.
Physically, the Xperia XZ Premium looks like a high-end phone that resembles the Google Pixel XL and the iPhone 7 Plus. At first glance, the phone appears like the Xperia XZ, except that it has a more elegant and expensive look because of the Gorilla Glass on its back. This glass is highly reflective and contributes a lot to the phone's classy feel, although it is very prone to fingerprint smudges. The Xperia XZ Premium also comes in two colors, Luminous Chrome and Deep Sea Black.
As for its specifications, the phone sports a 5.5-inch Tri-luminous HDR display and 4K (2,160 x 3,840) resolution. This is one of the major strengths of the Xperia XZ Premium, since it is a first for smartphones. As mentioned, it is powered by the latest Snapdragon processor, but what makes it even more powerful is that it is paired with Adreno 540 GPU and 4 GB of RAM.
The Xperia XZ Premium also comes with 64 GB of internal storage that can be expanded to up to 256 GB via a micro SD card. Its 4K display is complemented by its 19-megapixel rear camera and motion eye camera system. This super slow-motion video capture ability is also a first for a smartphone.
Considering the phone's unprecedented features, the Xperia XZ Premium certainly gives Sony an edge over its major competitors.
