Young Cancer Patient Posts Heartbreaking Goodbye Video After 10 Year Fight (VIDEO)

A 28-year-old man who has battled terminal cancer for almost 10 years has posted his last Youtube video where he breaks down and says goodbye to viewers and loved ones with tearful eyes.

"I'm so scared. God, is it scary. So much I want to say. You know, I'm 28 years old. I'm going to miss everyone. My family, my brothers and sisters and parents, my wife, Cari. I love you so much, babe. I love you so much," says Eric McLean from Wisconsin. The YouTube video has already been viewed over 300,000 times as of Thursday afternoon, with many users sharing their sympathy for the man who was first diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in 2003.

Although he first had thought he had beaten the cancer, when he was 23-years old he learned that his cancer had returned. Since then he has chronicled his fight against the disease in over 100 videos.

Although McLean has set up a foundation called L.I.F.E - The Leukemia Ironman Fundraiser for Eric, which provides assistance to cancer patients in need, and has tried to keep a positive outlook in his long struggle, he broke down in tears in his final 'Confession' video, saying: "I tried so hard, fought so hard. But the fight is over."

"This is the end. We have gotten some really bad news last week and there is nothing we can do," McLean explains his current state in the 8 and ½ minute long video, which was taped at the patio deck of his parent's home.

"Ninety six percent of my cerebral nervous system is cancerous and my sciatic nerve is being crushed so badly that I am in some of the worst pain you can imagine," he continues. "It's really hard, as you can imagine ... So tough and I've fought a long time — almost 10 years now.

The young man concludes that he has been assured by doctors "a million times" that there are no more options and he has nothing else left to try.

"This is it. So ... thank you all for everything that you've done for me and my family. I've had the greatest support system that anyone in the world could ever ask for," the cancer patient remarks, saying that he is thankful for the fact that he has lived well past the 18 month survival prognosis this type of cancer is usually given.

McLean's final message goes: "Ball game is over guys. So with that, I am going to say bye for the very last time. I love you all, thank you all, and I hope you all live very long, happy lives."

The L.I.F.E. website pledges: "We will help draw awareness and contribute towards finding more effective treatments, and one day, a cure."
