Zac Efron Donates Over 300 Items of Clothing to Children's Charity
“High School Musical” star Zac Efron, 24, has donated over 300 articles of his own clothing to the Children's Resource Network of the Central Coast.
Efron dropped off the items the day before Thanksgiving.
"His gift says a lot," Lisa Ray, president and CEO of the Children’s Resource Network, told the San Luis Obispo Tribune. "It's not only the clothing. It's having something special that other kids wouldn't have access to. It shows them that people do care."
Ray told the Tribune she screamed like a “13-year-old-girl” when Efron arrived.
Tags will be placed on the items Efron dropped off so recipients will know the popular actor once owned them.
Efron is currently starring in the recently released romantic comedy “New Year’s Eve.”
The Children’s Resource Network is a non-profit corporation that has assisted over 3,500 children and teens with clothing since it was established in 2009. The network provides local disadvantaged children with clothing, shoes, school supplies, Thanksgiving meals and Christmas presents. They also service the homeless, single mothers and pregnant teens with clothes and supplies.
