Zac Efron Drops Condom at 'The Lorax' Premier (VIDEO)
Zac Efron dropped a condom out of his pocket at the premier of his new film, "The Lorax," Wednesday afternoon.
Zac Efron's condom incident Feb. 22 managed to attract the attention of various media outlets, who snagged video of a gold-wrapped condom flying out and onto the red carpet. The creator of the video even replayed the incident in super slow motion so that the sparkling wrapper was clearly displayed.
While trying to hand something to his assistant out of his pocket, Efron accidentally grabbed the condom as well, dropping it. After onlookers pointed it out, the "17 Again" star looked extremely embarrassed, and nervously circled back to pick it up while laughing.
"Oh my God!" he mouthed to his assistant.
"The Lorax" is based on a Dr. Seuss children's book, and so the youth-oriented movie will attract mainly younger viewers. Along with Efron was Taylor Swift; both did voice work for the role, which led to speculations about a romantic connection between the two.
Swift and Efron attempted to quell the rumors on the "Ellen" show several days ago.
"We are not a couple. He's awesome; we are not a couple though," said the country music star. "You hear people get together when they're shooting movies, co-stars. But not, like, animated co-stars - you know what I'm saying? Oh my God, as we were recording out voice-overs on separate coasts, we really connected."
The 22-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer said that instead of a romantic liaison with Efron, she spent her Valentine's Day hosting a "pathetic single girls' party," seeing as she had no date.
"That's actually what it was called. It was cool. I'm not saying that being single is pathetic … I think it's awesome!" she told Ellen DeGeneres.
Efron, too, said he was single for Valentine's despite various outlets linking him to British actress Lily Collins recently.
"That's so different than what single guys do," he told the talk show host. "I went to a screening of a film that I did called 'Liberal Arts,' then cooked some dinner."
