Zac Efron in 'Best Place Ever' After Completing Rehab

Actor Zac Efron is back and better than ever, according to an interview he recently gave alongside co-stars Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan. Efron spoke candidly about his time in rehab and says he is now in a much better place, both mentally and physically.

"I know last year was a little bit hard – there were reports that you'd gone through rehab. And I think mostly your fans just want to know how you're doing and that you're doing okay," Savannah Guthrie asked Efron.

"Just that I'm in the best place I've ever been," Efron responded. "I've never been this happy before. And I'm extraordinarily grateful for these guys [Jordan and Teller] . And to be here promoting this movie, and … I don't know. Things are good. Thank you for asking."

Efron reportedly spent time in a rehab facility to deal with a drug problem. He never mentioned it before, but numerous sources told People magazine that the young star was partying a great deal and eventually realized that he needed help.

"The fact that he's seeking help only says great things about him," "Parkland" co-star Marcia Gay Harden told People at the time.

Now Efron is back in the limelight, promoting his new film "That Awkward Moment," which also stars Jordan and Teller. The three seemed thrilled to reunite for the publicity tour and are genuinely enjoying one another's company.

"It was an interesting year," Efron said at a press conference for the show. "I learned so many things. So much. The best part of it was being able to reflect upon that experience and realize how much I have learned about myself and the kind of man I want to be. This movie, these guys and coming back to it and to New York – just being here in this moment, it just kind of exemplifies it. I couldn't be happier. I'm in a great place."
