Zelda Wii U Release Date, News: Recent Announcements and News About the Highly-Anticipated Game

An official Twitter post by Nintendo revealed a launching date timeline for their upcoming games including Zelda which is slated for a late 2015 launch for the Wii U.

The gaming company has created detailed plans for their Wii U games lineup. The latest rumblings that have been making rounds for the past weeks suggest series creative director Eiji Aonuma's aim to outdo Koei Tecmo's Hyrule Warriors.

"Looking at the comments on Miiverse regarding Hyrule Warriors, it's been great to see a lot of positive feedback. But one of the things that leaves me with rather complicated feelings is that people are saying, "Oh wow, I really love the cutscenes in this game! This is better than the stuff Nintendo does!" the director told Nintendo Life.

"Of course, that leaves me a little conflicted, and gives me a mission now to make sure that the new Zelda game that I'm working on can hold its own in that aspect against Hyrule Warriors!" Aonuma added.

In a statement from WeGotThisCovered, they implied that somehow, it's a good thing for Nintendo and Aunoma to look at this aspect. Koei Tecmo, long been held as masters of cutscenes, could outwardly compete "or even trump Nintendo" in this area of gaming experience.

They further said that though Zelda's cutscenes are "often touching and effective," it somehow come short in quality compared to that of the other.

Perhaps it's right to say that this could be a wake-up call for the legendary gaming company to put more "production value" for their products, especially for the upcoming Zelda Wii U. Competition is healthy, after all.
