Zonderkidz Releases Purpose-Driven Children's Series
Teach your children how to live a Purpose-Driven life with three new books from Zonderkidz, based on the New York Times bestseller by Rick Warren. Almost 19 million adults have used “The Purpose-Driven Life” (Zondervan) to discover the purposes for which God created them, and now those same life-changing concepts are available for children 8 and under in an exciting new line of picture and board books written by bestselling children's author Dandi Daley Mackall and Rick Warren's daughter, Amy Warren Hilliker. Author of over 330 books, Dandi Daley Mackall's picture book “Made for a Purpose,” for children 6 and up, tells the fictional story of a young girl who has to adjust to living with her dad after her mother leaves the family. As the story unfolds, she learns that God's family has a place for her and she was created because God loves her. “Made for a Purpose” includes a forward note and discussion questions written by Rick Warren.
For children 4 and under, Amy Warren Hilliker, daughter of Rick Warren, has written two board books: “Little One, God Made You” and “Little One, God Loves You.” While “Little One, God Made You” explains to small children that they are made for God's purpose, “Little One, God Loves You” conveys one of the five purposes from “The Purpose-Driven Life” in each stanza. Children will learn about God's Love, Being a Member of God's Family, Growing in Christ, Helping Others, and Telling Others about God. Through the meaningful messages, Carol Thompson's warm and whimsical illustrations, and personal note to parents from Rick Warren, these charming board books will delight readers and parents alike.
