Zsa Zsa Gabor's Husband and Daughter Fighting to Control Estate
Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt shot back at his stepdaughter Francesca Hilton last week, filing a formal objection to her recent attempt to get conservatorship over the actress' estate and medical care.
Hilton filed papers in Los Angeles Superior Court last month asking to be made conservator over her 95-year-old mother's estate. In the filing, she questioned von Anhalt's ability to care for the bed-ridden Gabor, arguing that in visits, her mother seemed isolated and "heavily sedated."
On Friday, von Anhalt submitted a formal objection to the court, claiming that Hilton should not be put in control of Zsa Zsa's medical and financial affairs because her "past conduct" suggests she is not the suitable for the job.
The two are involved in a long-standing conflict over the legendary actress Gabor. Hilton has said that her step father has refused to let her see her mother. Von Anhalt has charged Hilton with being responsible for her mother's financial problems.
A hearing is scheduled for May 2. The judge will decide whether a conservator is needed or not.
