ZTE Axon M Specs News: ZTE Launches First Foldable Smartphone
ZTE has recently achieved the feat that most mobile phone makers around the world have been dreaming of — coming up with a foldable smartphone. The handset maker has finally launched its Axon M, ZTE's first dual display foldable smartphone.
Earlier this week, the tech company launched the new handset exclusively on AT & T in the U.S., where it will be available on the market starting November. Although the Axon M will be made available first in the U.S., ZTE announced that the handset will start selling in other regions like China and Japan, as well as in Europe, shortly after it becomes available in the U.S.
One of the best things about the Axon M is that since it is foldable, it can easily fit in a pocket. It also comes with four modes, including the Dual mode which lets users use two different apps at the same time. It also has an Extended mode, which allows for email streaming and playing games on a full HD display. Its two other modes are the Mirror mode and Traditional mode, which lets users mirror the same content on both screens and use the handset as a conventional phone, respectively.
The ZTE Axon M comes with a 5.2-inch dual full-HD TFT LCD display, protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The new handset is powered by a rather outdated Snapdragon 821 system on chip (SoC), one of its weak points. When it comes to storage, the Axon M has 4 gigabytes (GB) of random access memory (RAM) and 64GB of built-in storage. Its 20-megapixel (MP) single camera is perfect for making both rear and front-facing shots.
ZTE's new flagship phone packs Android 7.1.2 Nougat and comes with 3180mAh battery, which is best for fast charging. Shortly after the U.S. launch of the Axon M, ZTE noted in a statement that the handset is just the beginning of their endeavor in introducing unprecedented smartphone capabilities.
