11-Year-Old Gives Birth to 21-Year-Old Cousin's Baby; Judge Triples Rapist's Bail

An 11-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by her adult cousin for seven months has given birth to his child, authorities said. The cousin has been arrested and his bond was raised from $50,000 to $150,000 in light of the baby's birth.

Deandre Devon Davis-Williams, 21, was arrested and charged with repeated sexual assault of a child. He has not been arraigned or entered a plea since he just received his court-appointed attorney. According to reports, Davis-Williams raped his younger cousin nearly every day.

"She would be left alone. He was supposed to check on her and make sure she was okay. He and his aunt lived in the same complex," Sara Marie Kinney of the Harris County District Attorney's Office told ABC News. Davis-Williams would then rape the young girl during the visit.

"She would say, 'Please stop, it hurts.' He would then tell her to shower afterwards," Kinney explained. The 11-year-old didn't recognize the signs of pregnancy, nor did anyone else until she was seven months along.

"It's not a normal pregnancy because it's an 11-year-old with an underdeveloped body. Not only that, but if you have a kid and she's gaining weight or she doesn't feel good, she's 11, so you don't even go there in your mind," Kinney told The Houston Chronicle.

School officials later contacted her mother and told her that her daughter was pregnant.

"When her mom was brought the information from the school, she freaked out. She asked her daughter what happened, and the mother contacted the cousin," Kinney said.

He was immediately arrested and charged, and the judge tripled his bail upon learning of the baby's birth yesterday.

Kinney assured the public that the girl was doing fine after the delivery and that the baby "is doing well." She has also promised to prosecute Davis-Williams to the fullest extent of the law for what he did.

"You have these bad guys out there, but this one is extra sick," she told The Chronicle.
