12.9-inch iPad Pro Confirmed for November Release, Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil Also Coming

Apple is gearing up to release their latest tablet model dubbed as the iPad Pro. According to Chron, the tech giant has announced that the 12.9-inch tablet will already be available starting on Wednesday, Nov. 11, via both its physical retail and online stores.

Fans who have been waiting for it can finally get their hands on it after being first unveiled during the September Apple event. And since it's heading straight to the stores on the scheduled date, it seems like they are not going to take pre-orders anymore.

Apparently, the iPad Pro is so far the biggest that Apple has made in the tablet department. With its 12.9-inch display size, it's only slightly smaller than the 13-inch Macbook's display.

"It's the most capable and powerful iPad we've ever created," said CEO Tim Cook during the introduction of the device at the Apple Sept. 9 event.

The iPad Pro, as detailed in Stuff, boasts a retina display with 2732x2048 resolution (264ppi). It carries with it an A9X 64-bit chip inside which is claimed to be faster than 80 percent of the portable PCs that have been released in the last 12 months. And because it has a large screen space and a high resolution, the iPad Pro is capable of the Split View feature that allows two screen-filling apps to run side by side. It also comes with 32 GB and 128 GB storage options and a 10-hour battery. The LTE support is optional.

Other than the huge tablet, Tech Times noted that Apple will also be releasing the Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil. Through these extras, the iPad Pro can function like a Macbook, a notepad, as well as a drawing book. The screen is also pressure sensitive so the user can draw thicker or thinner lines depending on the pressure the user exerts on the stylus.

The upcoming device will really entice those who are into visual arts as it is said to display 3D images and is capable of 4K video and RAW photo editing. It can support Adobe Photoshop Fix and AutoCAD 360.

The iPad Pro has a starting price of $799 for the 32 GB model plus Wi-Fi and can reach up to $1,079 for the 128 GB model, also with Wi-Fi.
