'13 Reasons Why' Season 2 Updates: Katherine Langdon Teases Different Hannah Baker Next Season

Katherine Langdon advised fans to expect a different Hannah Baker when her character returns for "13 Reasons Why" season 2.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Golden Globe Award-nominated actress revealed that the plot of the show's second season will deal with the effect of Hannah's suicide on those who were mentioned in the tapes.

"This season has been really interesting for a lot of reasons," Langford stated. "It's a different story than season 1 and I think that's a good thing. This season we get to explore a lot more of the other characters and their journeys, which I'm excited about. As sad as it is, there is life after Hannah, and this season we get to see the effects it had on the people around her a lot more."

Langford also mentioned that fans will notice a major change in her character in the upcoming season. According to the actress, the Hannah that was introduced in season 1 will not be seen in the show's sophomore installment. However, she could not confirm if this will be the last time that Hannah will be seen in the controversial teen drama series. "It's funny because I just wrapped and I think a lot of this season for me is about letting Hannah go," she also said.

The production for the second season of "13 Reasons Why" already wrapped up early this week. People revealed that the cast turned to Instagram to showcase the events that happened during the wrap-up party, including Langford, Dylan Minnette, Ajiona Alexus, Michele Selene Ang, Justin Prentice, and Ross Butler.

The show's executive producer and singer-actress Selena Gomez also showed some photos from the wrap-up party on her Instagram account and expressed her gratitude to the cast of the series for agreeing to work on the project for the second time. "To every person on this project, thank you for coming back. Good or bad we are committed to having the tough conversations, to telling the story that can start change," Gomez stated.

Netflix is expected to drop the second season of "13 Reasons Why" sometime in 2018.
