15 is the number of colleges Ariel Winter will be applying to

Ariel Winter is most recognized for her role as Alex Dunphy in the sitcom "Modern Family." Her character is a very studious girl whose perfectionist attitude always has her aiming for the best. Her forte being on academe, rather than social like that of her on-screen sister Hailey, has her trying to get into top colleges in the last season. It seems that Winter is personifying her long-time role now that she is deciding to pursue her tertiary education in real life.

According to E! Entertainment News, Winter is also taking no prisoners during her application process as she plans to apply in 15 school this coming November. The number is quite alarmingly high; however, like every other teenager, it wouldn't be a surprise that she would want to get only into the best school out there. Winter was more than happy to talk about this news, when she was on the red carpet for the Emmy's. She shares, "I'm 99 percent sure I'm going to go in California, but I wanted to apply anyway. I still want to do my work, because I love my work, and be close to my family and the family I care about."

Apparently, Winter has been thinking about this decision for a while now. Despite her acting career still doing steady in Modern Family, she wants to be prepared for anything. When the topic of quitting acting to pursue studies instead, she reveals, "I would love to continue acting but it's definitely important, I think, to go and do something else as well. You never know if something's not going to work out, if one day acting is like, 'No, we don't like you anymore!' You gotta have something else you can do. I've always been interested in law so I think it'll definitely be something that I'll love to do and also go to school for."
