Duggar Family '19 Kids and Counting' News: Duggars Carry Out Ministry Work in South America

The Duggar Family of TLC's hit show "19 Kids and Counting" continue to keep busy while their show is currently on hiatus. In early July, some of the older children, along with their father Jim Bob, went on a two-week mission trip to Central America.

On the family's official blog, it was revealed that initially, only Jessa, Jinger, and Ben Seewald, Jessa's boyfriend, were signed up to go, but closer to the departure date, Jim Bob, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, and Jackson decided to come along as well.

Pictures that were posted on their website, duggarsblog.com, showed them hiking, interacting with the locals of Honduras, and doing ministry work through skits, musical performances and leading Bible studies with the locals. They also took some time to enjoy a day at the beach.

Since Jim Bob and Josh's (the Duggar's eldest son) first trip to South America several years ago, the Duggars have made mission trips with the SOS Ministries an annual, or sometimes biannual, tradition for their family.

The whole family is currently back in their home in Arkansas, and the family blog also shared details on Jessa and Joy-Anna's three-week food challenge. They shared their meal plans, wherein the girls eat a breakfast of green beans and two fried eggs, and lunch which consists of cubed chicken and sweet potatoes cooked in olive oil and plainly seasoned with salt and pepper. Could the new diet be a part of Jessa's preparation for something special?

It has been reported that Jessa and Ben will be celebrating the first year anniversary of their courtship on September. Jessa is the first Duggar daughter to enter a relationship, but her sister, Jill, was the first to get married when she tied the knot with fiancée Derick Dillard last June. Rumors are saying that it's possible that another Duggar girl could get married before the year is over.

"19 Kids and Counting" will air its new season on September on TLC.
