2 Killed, 3 Injured in Seattle Shootings: Suspects at Large, 'Armed and Dangerous'

Area schools were shut down in Seattle, Washington after shots fired resulted in two deaths with additional people injured.

Police are currently searching for two suspects in Seattle suspected of killing two individuals and injuring three others near the University District. One suspect was last seen running down fleeing northbound on Roosevelt, where Café Racer Espresso is located according to My Northwest, a local Seattle publication.

"They say the suspect is described as a white male, 30-40 years old, 6'0 feet, with a medium build," the news site reported. "He has brown hair, a goatee or beard, and is wearing a dark shirt. Police say he is armed with a gun. They have not recovered a weapon."

Both of the victims left dead were males; the three other surviving victims, one female and two males, were taken to the hospital and are in critical conditions.

Roosevelt High School, Eckstein Middle School, and Greenlake Elementary were put on lockdown, immediately after the incident occurred.

"The doors and windows are locked and the blinds are closed," Seattle School District spokeswoman Teressa Whipple said in regards to the high school. All entry points were also being blocked.

A second shooting also occurred in downtown Seneca which police have attributed to a carjacking. The suspect, a 35-year-old white male with a blonde crew cut stole a Mercedes SUV and then fled the scene.

Police are not sure yet whether the two incidents are related however both suspects are believed to be armed and dangerous.
