2016 Presidential Poll Update: New Poll Puts Sanders Above Trump
In the most recent poll released by McClatchy-Marist, Sen. Bernie Sanders has put Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and even business giant Donald Trump behind.
The poll reveals a landslide margin of 12 percentage points over the business mogul (53 to 41) while a 10-point landslide margin came out over Bush (51 to 41). While the news may be not so much of a big deal to some people who have followed the polls for the upcoming elections, a lot of Trump's supporters may be surprised with the results.
According to The Hill, further polls will be necessary to find out if the newest presidential race craze showing Sanders on the lead over Bush and Trump will continue. This is because previous comparisons revealed that Sanders and Bush are almost on the same track.
If the recent poll retains the results in the next matchups, it could possibly mean Sanders will win a landslide victory in the presidential campaign. Another huge possibility with a Sanders win is the entry of more Democrats into the House of Representatives, and in a more serious note, the addition of Democrats to lead the Senate.
The outlet says one important thing to learn from the recent poll is that of the American people's choices. With Sanders on the lead, it could the American voting community is choosing populist positions. Democrats winning the general elections would mean a populist Democratic president with a much greater Democratic power that would take over the Congress and other branches of government.
Meanwhile, Republicans Trump and Ben Carson are still in a tight position as Carson continues to close in on the businessman in a USA Today poll. With .4 percent to go, Carson has a lot of time to either get even with Trump's 24.8 percent in the recent poll, or even take over the top spot.
In the same poll, Sanders still has a long way to go in the Democratic race with 32.6 percent over Hillary Clinton's 54.2 percent.
