2017 Emmy Awards News: Ben Affleck Attends with 'Saturday Night Live' Producer Lindsay Shookus
Love was in the air during the 2017 Emmy Awards as couples showcase their relationship and "The Walking Dead" actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan revealed that his wife Hilarie Burton is pregnant with their second child. One certain surprise caught the attention of the onlookers at the event as Ben Affleck made a comeback attendance in the Emmy Awards, this time with an arm around "Saturday Night Live" producer Lindsay Shookus.
According to E! News, the couple did not walk the red carpet during this year's Emmy Awards. Instead, they made their way to Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater through the VIP entrance. Considering their relationship was recently revealed to the public last July, their decision to skip the red carpet was something that fans understood.
During the Emmy Awards, "Saturday Night Live" won as Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. A source then told Us Weekly that Affleck responded with utmost pride as Shookus walked to the stage to receive the award. He was sitting with the crew of "Saturday Night Live," and jumped up and cheered when the announcement was made. His actions during this year's Emmys triggered a resounding adoration from the fans, as he made sure to keep the spotlight on Shookus. They were later spotted in the winners' walk area.
Affleck, who was previously married to "13 Going on 30" and "Elektra" actress Jennifer Garner, last attended the Emmy Awards back in 2005. Meanwhile, it was a day of pride for Shookus' "Saturday Night Live" as the show was nominated for 14 Emmy Awards.
It is unclear as to how their relationship will continue to progress, but previous reports have already revealed that Garner is well-aware of their relationship and that she is still willing to let their kids see him. The former couple recently celebrated the 4th of July through a Caribbean trip. At the time, Affleck was already in a relationship with Shookus.
