2018 Audi TT RS Available This Spring for $65,875

Audi has announced pricing and availability of the 2018 TT RS ahead of its U.S. debut at the New York International Show (NYIAS) next week.

According to the German automaker, the all-new, high-performance sports car is the most powerful TT production model. It is powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that delivers 400 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and comes standard with the quattro all-wheel drive system.

The 2018 Audi TT RS is able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour (mph) in just 3.6 seconds and attains a top track speed of 155 mph. However, prospective customers who want more speed can opt for the Dynamic Plus package which raises the top speed to 174 mph.

Apart from impressive driving dynamics, the second-generation TT RS also produces a distinct sound via the RS exhaust system as well as a special rhythm due to a unique ignition sequence. Other high-performance components include a compact and lightweight clutch, a four-link rear suspension, McPherson front suspension, progressive steering and a new brake system.

In terms of design, the 2018 TT RS features a sporty design language that is inspired by the vehicle's racing heritage. Standard features include a three-dimensional Singleframe grille with a quattro badge, large air intakes, a fixed rear wing spoiler large oval tailpipes, 19-inch five-arm Galvano silver wheels and LED lighting.

Inside the cabin, the driver-oriented layout ensures that all controls and functions are within reach. The clean, uncluttered design of the sports car's interior is complemented by athletic components like the S sport seats with head restraints, sculpted and adjustable side bolsters and the three-spoke multifunction flat-bottom sport steering wheel.

Furthermore, the vehicle also comes with modern technologies such as the Audi virtual cockpit, a digital dashboard and an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The 2018 Audi TT RS is scheduled to go on sale in the spring with a starting price of $64,900. There will also be an additional $975 charge for destination.
