2018 Volkswagen Arteon Release Date, Specs News: Four-Door Coupe with Elegant Fastback Styling Revealed

The 2018 Volkswagen Arteon recently made its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The newest addition to the German automaker's lineup is a premium four-door coupe with a coupe-like fastback design and offers more space than conventional sedans.

In terms of aesthetics, the Arteon is dynamic and elegant. It features design elements typically seen in sports cars such as athletic lines, a stretched roofline, prominent shoulders, muscular fenders, flared wheel arches and aluminum alloy wheels. The five-seat fastback also comes with a unique front fascia where the LED headlamps and daytime running lights merge with the radiator grille and hood.

The new coupe was built using the Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) platform. It has dynamic proportions with a very long wheelbase, measuring at 111.9 inches. This translates to a spacious cabin with generous legroom and luggage space. The Arteon is also 191.4 inches long, 73.7 inches wide and 56.2 inches tall, which allows it to sit above the Volkswagen Passat.
