'24: Legacy' Season 1 Episode 5 Spoilers: Carter and Grimes Make a Deal With Smuggling Ring
Carter (Corey Hawkins) and Grimes (Charlie Hofheimer) are on their way to hopefully save the day in the next episode of "24: Legacy."
Covering the hour between four to five in the afternoon, the episode will feature former Army Rangers Carter and Grimes trying to forge a deal with a man named Gabriel, the leader of a smuggling ring who may have been responsible for smuggling Khalid (Raphael Acloque) and his men into the country.
And since the ex-military smuggler is primarily an arms dealer, Carter concocted a plan to sell a top secret military scheme known as Onyx as a cover to get into the ring and find out the location of the terrorists before they could activate the sleeper cells. But after the new Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) director Mullins (Teddy Sears) shot the plan down, Carter had to launch an attack on the CTU headquarters so that he and Grimes could escape and carry out his plan.

However, the trailer for the next episode shows that Mullins may soon be in on the plan as he checks up on Carter and Grimes' current whereabouts. But with Khalid's men swooping in on them, will the two former Army Rangers survive this rebellious mission? Not only will they have lost the flash drive with the sleeper cells' information in it, they will also be handing highly classified military schematics to the terrorists.
The upcoming episode will also find the older Donovan, Henry (Gerald McRaney), being taken in for questioning at the CTU. How long can he possibly deny giving up the Army Rangers' information to the terrorists? And what will the ramifications of his betrayal be to him and to his son, John's (Jimmy Smits) presidential campaign?
Elsewhere, Amira (Kathryn Prescott) and Khasan (Themo Melikidze) will get a visit from someone unexpected. Who could this be and what could he or she possibly want from them? Will it involve the impending terrorist attacks, or will it be about something else that is more personal?
"24: Legacy" season 1 episode 5 airs on Monday, Feb. 27, at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
