A Forensic Expert With A Passion For Fantasy Football Steps In to Help In Oct. 22 Episode Of 'Bones'

In the fourth episode of Season 11 of "Bones" titled "The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves," Betty White, as Dr. Beth Mayer, steps in as a forensic anthropologist to help unravel the murder of a decomposed body. The twist is that Dr. Beth is no ordinary forensic expert, she is a fun old lady with a passion for fantasy football.

The official synopsis for this fun episode has been released by Fox and the plot synopsis is as follows: "When remains of real estate agent Justin Ross are found in the forest and appear to have been destroyed by coyote-wolf hybrids, Brennan enlists the help of fellow brilliant forensic anthropologist Dr. Beth Mayer (White) to assist in the investigation. In addition to her professional achievements, Mayer is surprisingly knowledgeable about the world of fantasy football, a key link to Ross' past and one that could provide vital information in finding his killer."

While Booth (David Boreanaz) and Aubrey (John Boyd) are looking into the murder of real estate agent Justin Ross, they come across a Twitter feud between Ross and NFL star Lou Divers, played by Ronde Barber. The NFL commissioner might also be involved when it is discovered that Ross "was also owed a large sum of money from the league's commissioner." This makes the NFL star and the commissioner both suspects in Ross' murder.

As the body is decomposed and almost eaten away by animals, an expert has to be brought in. The lovable Betty White will play the role of super intelligent forensic expert who knows everything there is about half-eaten dead bodies plus shares a passion for college football.

Her expertise will leave Brennan feeling like a greenhorn and the promo hints that maybe Brennan is a bit jealous of the veteran Mayer's expertise and achievements.

This episode of "Bones" feels like it is right on track with Booth and Brennan tackling crime after they experimented with a different life in the previous season.

It will also be fun to watch Tampa Bay Buccaneer Ronde Barber take a shot at acting even though he will play a football player in this episode.

Catch this fun episode on October 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
