'A Series of Unfortunate Events' Season 2 Renewal News: Netflix Promises More Misfortunes for the Baudelaires
"A Series of Unfortunate Events" has been renewed for season 2, which means fans will get to witness the next chapters of the miserable lives of the Baudelaire orphans.
The announcement was made through a video of Lemony Snicket (Patrick Warburton) reciting a statement with the words flashed on the screen.
There were letters highlighted, which, when put together, should lead fans to a website, where "A Series of Unfortunate Events" season 2 is confirmed. Netflix also breaks the news via a lengthy letter that convinces viewers not to tune in to more "upsetting" episodes of the "unnerving" series.
Fans of the show will definitely be pleased about the news, but it looks like no one is happier than Count Olaf himself, Neil Patrick Harris, who got a tattoo in celebration of the renewal.
What better body art to get than the infamous eye tattoo that Olaf sports in the Netflix hit and one that is vital to the whole premise of "A Series of Unfortunate Events." Making this more special is the fact that this is actually the first body art Harris got.
Unfortunately, no details about "A Series of Unfortunate Events" season 2 have been revealed. However, since it is based on the book series of the same name by Daniel Handler (under the Snicket pseudonym), fans of the novels should have an idea what to expect.
The first season covered the first four books in the series. "A Series of Unfortunate Events" season 2 is expected to cover the next four, each book taking up two episodes.
These books are "The Austere Academy," which was already set up in the end of the first season, "The Ersatz Elevator," "The Vile Village" and "The Hostile Hospital."
"A Series of Unfortunate Events" season 2 will likely see Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and Sunny (Presley Smith) attend boarding school, where they will meet new orphans Duncan (Dylan Kingwell) and Isadora Quagmire (Avi Lake).
