Acer Liquid Jade 2 Announced, Specs Include Android Lollipop, 5.5-Inch Display, Snapdragon 808
Taiwanese electronics corporation Acer took part at the Mobile World Congress 2016 and did not disappoint fans when it announced its latest offering, the Liquid Jade 2. According to a report by BGR, the company unveiled the budget phone on Tuesday flaunting its 5.5-inch AMOLED display with full-HD resolution and curved 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass screen.
Aside from that, GSM Arena reported that the device is revealed to be equipped with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and offers a sufficient pixel density of 401ppi, which is beyond enough in terms of sharpness and color reproduction. The company also claims that the handset's display supports 100 percent of the NSTC color gamut.
The Liquid Jade 2 is basically Jade Primo. The difference though is that the former is packed with Android 5.0 Lollipop, while the latter runs with Windows Mobile. But apart from that, the Liquid Jade 2 is similar to the Jade Primo including its impressive built. The device has a plastic body with a nice curve providing a better grip and handling of the phone.

Under the hood, one will find a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. Gadgets 360 detailed that its internal memory storage is 32 GB, but unfortunately, it cannot be expanded further via microSD card. The handset is also equipped with a 21-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording support, while the front comes with an 8-megapixel secondary camera. Moreover, the Liquid Jade 2 features a DTS Headphone: X technology for virtual surround sound and LTE Cat. 6 support.
The connectivity options include WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, and 4G. As for the battery pack, the device gets its power juice from a 3,000mAh battery. There are no details yet on how much the device costs. There's also a variant that has 1 TB of storage space, but it will come with a different price.
