Action & Comedy On The 150th Episode Of 'NCIS: Los Angeles'
The 150th episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" will be airing on CBS next week and it will have an action-filled day for Callen & Sam on their day off. Deeks & Kensi will have an 'undercover operation.' But it's mainly going to be fun in this landmark episode.
The official synopsis is short, not revealing anything, but a comic tone can be read between the lines. It goes: "Callen and Sam are forced to work on their day off when they mysteriously receive a call phone and the caller threatens the lives of innocent people if thet don't do exactly what he says."
In the previous third episode, the team went undercover for a model shoot assignment where Hetty acted like a shoot director while Callen & Sam pretended to be part of the shoot crew. Deeks & Kensi were also present and Kensi discovered the model's sexy snaps on Deeks' phone. This was a comic relief and at the end of the episode, Deeks introduced Kensi to his mother.
Showrunner Shane Brennan spoke to TVLine about what the special 150th episode will hold for Kensi & Deeks. He said, "It's a normal episode, and actually a very funny episode. It puts Kensi and Deeks together in an undercover operation, as a kind of protection detail. It's got some great guests in it, and it's one of those shows that will be memorable."
The premiere episode had focused on Callen but it might veer towards Sam down the season. Shane Brennan told the Hollywood Reporter about what's coming up for Sam in Season 7. He said, "For Sam, there's the return of someone from his past that ultimately carries us through to the finale in a pretty spectacular way, and it impacts his family." With this in mind, it is safe to assume that Sam's family might be involved in a case in the near future.
LL Cool J who portrays Sam, adds that soon, viewers will discover more things about Sam, including his personal life. There will be a point in the show where Sam's integrity will be questioned and moments where his life may also be on the line.
But before all this, the NCIS: Los Angeles team are in for some comedy and action in their milestone 150th episode that will be aired on October 12.
