Aerosmith News: South American Tour Canceled; Steve Tyler Receiving Immediate Medical Care

After his stint on "American Idol," singer Steve Tyler has been on a tour with his band, Aerosmith. However, recent reports have revealed that the world-renowned band had to cancel the final four shows that were supposed to be held in South America. Tyler turned to social media to share the circumstances, and it was indicated that he had to fly back to the U.S. to attend to some medical issues.

"Please not to worry... I am not in a life threatening condition, but I need to deal with this right away, and get some rest and medical care immediately in order to sustain and maintain my future performances," Tyler said in a statement posted on his Twitter account. "I promise I'll be back. Unfortunately, health does not wait and it's something even I can't schedule around our shows."

Although Tyler also said that he expects to make a full recovery, fans still expressed their worry that the tour might be taking a toll on his health. The 69-year-old award-winning singer was originally scheduled to be in Curitiba, Brazil last Sept. 27, Santiago, Chile on Sept. 30, Rosario, Argentina on Oct. 3, and Monterrey, Mexico on Oct. 7.
