After a shocking Season 3 finale, Showrunner Jeff Eastin has plans for 'Graceland' Season 4
The finale of Season 3 of "Graceland" had the house totally broken – its inhabitants don't trust each other, they've made betrayal plans, killed and looted. In short, they've veered off straight over the edge.
"Graceland" deals with a group of undercover agents in different departments such as the FBI, DEA and ICE. The interesting premise is that all these agents live in a confiscated beach house called 'Graceland' and the series has shown their friendship, their ethics and their slow descent into a zone that is not morally correct. The show has skilfully shown that the lines between being a cop and being a criminal can blur many times. Nothing is black and white and everybody is actually quite grey. Created by Jeff Eastin, the show premiered on USA Network on June 6, 2013 and just recently completed its third season.
The Season 3 finale was a lot to digest. Jakes gets into a fight with Johnny, takes the $9 million dollar loot and leaves with the beautiful Courtney. Its finally happened. Jakes has really gone into the dark zone.
More shockers follow as Briggs shoots Ari in the head to hide all the illegal and wrongful things they have been doing and want to continue to do. It was Ari who was standing in the way. Charlie and Paige act as if nothing has happened.
By the end of the finale, everyone in "Graceland" had gone over the edge. In this scenario, how can it be taken further into Season 4?
Showrunner Jeff Eastin admits that the execution of Ari was the most difficult to do as it meant no going back for the inhabitants of Graceland. Even though Ari was a most horrific character, acted out superbly by Rhys Coiro, his killing was done in a most cold-blooded manner by Briggs, while Charlie and Paige support him tacitly.
Eastin has some plans and possible storylines for a possible season 4 of "Graceland." He plans to present more of Courtney as she's a lawyer and has a lot of bad clients. This complicates things for her. Mike's journey into drugs is relatable. Johnny was always conflicted. Jakes is going to get a more substantial character arc. Briggs has already crossed the line so his character is most interesting. Can he find redemption?
At present there has been no official announcement about renewal for Season 4 of "Graceland." We will keep you informed as soon as we get some updates.
