'Agent Carter' Season 2 Premiere Date: New Promo Trailer Teases At New Adventures For Peggy in Hollywood

Marvel's "Agent Carter" is set to return to the small screen soon for its season 2. But even before it could make its way back, the show has already caught the attention of fans with the release of the teaser trailers. As seen on the extended promo titled "New Adventure," Strategic Scientific Reserve secret agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) is going on a new adventure with the original team.

The official synopsis found on Collider detailed that Agent Carter will be moving from New York to Los Angeles to fight against new Atomic Age threats and to take on her most dangerous assignment yet. She will team up with Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) and Chief Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) and together they investigate a case in Hollywood.

Fans can expect the sophomore season of the series to be packed with action as the teaser trailer showed the timeless beauty of the heroine going around the streets of Los Angeles shooting guns and knocking out villains. There's also some running and figuring out of things as one scene showed Carter telling Sousa, "This case is much larger than we initially thought." Aside from that, it seems like Carter will be finding a new romance in her new home.

A quick glimpse of a man frozen solid in a block of ice was also seen on the trailer. It's not known yet who it is but it only means the team will have their own man of ice to deal with when the show returns. HNGN reports that the team will also spend much of the new season running after Whitney Frost who is also known as Madame Masque, played by Wynn Everett. Described as an actress and brilliant inventor, Frost will be making some trouble for the heroes.

Other new cast members include Kurtwood Smith as Vernon Masters, Currie Graham as Calvin Chadwick and Lotte Verbeek as Ana Jarvis. "Agent Carter" season 2 will premiere on Jan. 5, 2016.
