'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3 News, Spoilers: Stars, EP on 'Civil War' Connection; Chloe Bennet on One-Take Fight Scene

Will Marvel TV's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." once again cross over with a Marvel feature film?

With the premiere of the highly anticipated "Captain America: Civil War" just a few weeks away, the stars and executive producer of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." have spoken about how the upcoming superhero film will impact the series and their version of the central conflict in "Civil War."

As Marvel fans will recall, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has previously featured tie-ins to the "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" (2014) and the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (2015) stories. With the current season centering on the simmering dilemma with the Inhumans and how best to deal with them, it doesn't seem too far-fetched that the series could once again cross over with the latest Marvel film which, in the case of "Civil War," deals with the issue of superheroes and how best to manage them.

According to "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." star Clark Gregg, who plays Agent Phil Coulson, the issue with the Inhumans has been brewing since season 2, when his character partnered Mack (Henry Simmons), who may be the most suspicious of Inhumans, with Daisy (Chloe Bennet), an Inhuman. That division, the actor said, represents what's going on with the rest of Coulson's team.

"Our show is looking at this Inhumans outbreak, and that's really where the concept of a civil war, our own version of it, is happening," Gregg told Empire.

According to Marvel TV head and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." executive producer Jeph Loeb, the issue of tolerance is what's at the heart of the conflict in "Civil War" and of the show's current season. It could also possibly be further explored in season 4.

Simmons, however, teased an "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."-"Civil War" connection, telling Empire: "If things come to this registration act, the team is going to be divided. It's inevitable."

Meanwhile, Bennet recently spoke to IGN about the second one-take fight scene she has performed for the show. "It was really hard," the actress said about the sequence, which was featured in Tuesday's episode, titled "Spacetime."

"This time, all the bosses were down watching it," she recounted. "One shots, if one thing doesn't look amazing, you go again. It took three or four hours of sprints and sprints and sprints. I honestly probably burned about 7,000 calories."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
