"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Search for Other Inhumans and Fight Against Ward's Hydra
The hit ABC sci-fi action series returned for its third season on September 29 and given how the previous season ended, fans are expecting so much more will happen to their favorite team of agents this season. According to a report in TV Guide, the third season will be as action-packed as the previous ones and will feature new conflicts among the series' characters as well as new challenges for the team of agents who are determined to save S.H.I.E.L.D.
This new season picks up three months after the events of Season 2. In the Season 2 finale, Ward is seen taking the leadership role in Hydra and Simmons disappearing into a Kree stone. Towards the end of the season also, Skye has begun to come to terms with her real identity and her special powers, so much so that in the third season, fans will see her not as Skye but as Daisy Johnson, also known as Quake.
In Season 3, she has fully grasped who she really is and in fact will play a bigger role in S.H.I.E.L.D. She will be taking point in looking for other Inhumans like her. This is in support of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s mission to assemble a team of Inhumans who will protect humanity from new threats.

As for Ward, he will continue to counter S.H.I.E.L.D. through Hydra and this is primarily because of his desire to exact vengeance on Coulson and his team. This will be his main goal in this season.
In terms of new threats and challenges especially to S.H.I.E.L.D., there are two other organizations which will be in play in the hunt for Inhumans. One of these is another secret government agency led by a new character played by Constance Zimmer. Another is an unknown agency which may be more sinister.
Agent May, who is played by Ming Na Wen, in a surprising twist may find herself questioning whether she wants to stay in S.H.I.E.L.D. or not. In Season 3, she will deal with these issues and will eventually make a choice about her future in the organization.
The two other characters who play a major part in the series are Agents Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter. Both of them are poised to lead all actions against Ward and Hydra as both of them want to exact revenge on Ward for what he did to them towards the end of Season 2.
