'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 4 Spoilers: Big Changes Happening with the Members of S.H.I.E.L.D. As They Try to Move On; Synopsis of New Season Released
Darker times are ahead for the team as Daisy stays missing.
In the previous season of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", the biggest change that happened was when Daisy went rogue and became a vigilante. Coulson was removed as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. When the series returns for its fourth season, it will be seen at a later time slot because of a darker theme and the dark times in store for the members of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Business as usual for S.H.I.E.L.D.
Executive Producer Maurissa Tanchareon, in an interview, refused to give details on what will happen to the team in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4. She teased, however, that the choices each member of the team has made in the past will probably come back to haunt them.
Another thing that can be derived from Maurissa's answers in the same interview is that it will be business as usual for the members of S.H.I.E.L.D. They simply will choose to move on from what went down last season.
Whether they use it as a coping mechanism or they are simply in denial of all the trauma each of them has experienced, they all should start to function again, she added.
In "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3, the team had a final encounter with Hive, which left them shaken. With also a member down, this had a big effect on them. It continued to haunt them even several months later.
Ghost Rider blazes into town
One of the biggest changes that will happen to the team in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4, is that the Spirit of Vengeance will be depicted in the Roberto "Robbie" Reyes (Gabriel Luna) character for the first time in the series. In the movies, the Ghost Rider persona was depicted in Johnny Blaze.
Traditionally, Ghost Rider is known as a flame-skulled supernatural motorcycle driver. But, Robbie Reyes' version will instead drive around in a street racing car.
He will enter the lives of the S.H.I.E.L.D. as a junkyard mechanic, who, at first will get Coulson distracted in his search for Daisy. Coulson does not know if Reyes is a friend or foe to the S.H.I.E.L.D.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." creator Joss Whedon did not want to reveal if two of the series' original characters, Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) will be returning in Season 4. Their spin-off series Marvel's "Most Wanted" was recently cancelled by ABC.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. " Season 4 Synopsis
The official synopsis of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 bares which characters will be returning. It also contains some updates on them. It says that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimized by the Sokovia Accords, which means that the organization will no longer need to operate in the shadows.
S.H.I.E.L.D. has a new Director and Coulson will be back as an agent. He has since teamed up with Mack. They are tasked to locate and confirm the presence of Enhanced people also called Inhumans.
The two have also been trying to track down Daisy, who has gone rogue. However, the new Director will not seem to care if Daisy a.k.a. Quake gets killed since he believes she is dangerous.
Meanwhile, Agent May will now be training specialized strike teams. Simmons has just been promoted as Special Advisor to the Director of Science and Technology.
