'Agents of SHIELD' Season 3 Episode 5 Spoilers: It's A Lonely, Blue World Out There For Agent Simmons

A slew of promotional photos were released for the upcoming brand new episode of the third season of ABC's hit superhero drama TV series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." The images feature one of the members of the team, stranded, alone and distraught in a strange "blue world."

Shared over the ComicBook.com, the gallery of teaser images for the segment titled "4,722 Hours" sees Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) in a dry, barren and lifeless world where there's nothing to be found but sand and some human skeletons.

The alien world is assumed to be the place the agent got stuck in when she disappeared during the last season's finale. Fans may remember her getting absorbed by the Kree Monolith which, as it turns out, is a portal to another world in the far reaches of the galaxy.

In the present timeline of the series, Jemma has already been rescued, thanks in part to the persistent effort of Agent Fitz who never seemed to give up on finding her. However, the episode synopsis said that she's still recovering from the struggles she went through in that wicked strange world. This episode will reveal how she was able to survive the place.

"This is hell," Jemma said as she recounted her experience to the rest of the group in the new trailer released for tonight's segment. She can be seen on the clip braving the surge of sandstorm, trying to catch some food in a pool of water, as well as making a fire.

Several rumors about the planet where Jemma landed said that it could be one of the Asgardian worlds like Hel and Svartalfheim or the Kree worlds of Hala, Annovale and the Klyn.

The episode, "4,722 Hours," was written by Craig Titley. It was directed by Jesse Bochco. It airs this Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
