AKA Jessica Jones Release Date, Plot Spoilers: Teaser Trailer Video and Character Photos

Marvel's next superhero series on Netflix, "AKA Jessica Jones," is arriving on November 20 on the streaming service. In the run up to its premiere, Marvel has released official photos and more recently, a short teaser trailer for the show. According to reports on Empire Online, both releases give viewers a glimpse of the show's main characters.

The web-only series stars Krysten Ritter as the former superhero turned private detective Jessica Jones. The teaser trailer which was released recently is only 48 seconds long and only shows what seems to be a sleeping Jessica Jones. What the trailer reveals about the main character includes the fact that Jones starts her day late, as she is seen waking up to a 3:00 p.m. alarm. What is also apparent is that the character still possesses super human strength, when instead of turning off the alarm with the press of a button she crushes it to bits with her left hand.

According to another report on The Verge, "AKA Jessica Jones" follows the story of Jessica Jones after she is forced to retire from being the superhero Jewel. She tries to rebuild her life and sets up a detective agency in Hell's Kitchen, New York. As she sets out to investigate cases for clients, she also encounters people from her past as a superhero.
