'Alaskan Bush People' Season 8 News Update: Production Still Halted While Ami Brown Recovers From Lung Cancer

The fate of "Alaskan Bush People" season 8 remains in limbo, after Discovery Channel continues its silence about their plans for the reality show's future.

Production for the TV series halted when the Brown family matriarch Ami Brown had to move to California from the show's setting in Alaska to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments for her lung cancer.

According to reports, Ami already completed her treatments from a California-based hospital. However, the 53-year-old mother of seven is still too weak to work on another season of the reality series that centers on their family's adventures in the vast Alaskan wilderness.

Ami's health status was revealed by a fan-operated Facebook page called Alaskan Bush People Exposed, which said, "Ami update: She is not in the hospital, however chemotherapy / radiation has taken its toll on her, and she is not well enough to start filming yet. Filming has been delayed. They are still in CA except for Noah and Rhain/Ruth. They were spotted in Idaho of all places!"

Meanwhile, RadarOnline revealed that the Browns are now living in luxury and traded their modest cabin in the Alaskan woods for a vast $2.7 million mansion in the Beverly Hills.

According to the report, the new Brown mansion has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, as well as a massive master suite that comes with a jacuzzi and an in-ground pool as well as a huge backyard where the family can opt to hang out.

The 3,382 square-foot mansion is reportedly located in the highly exclusive Beverly Glen area, which is just a few minutes away from the UCLA Medical Center where Ami received her cancer treatments.

The report also claimed that the mansion was recently remodeled and was sold to an unnamed owner in late 2016. It features several modern amenities that looks very different from the family's Browntown property in Alaska.

Discovery Channel is expected to break their silence about the status of "Alaskan Bush People" season 8 soon.
