Meanwhile, Albania hold the play-off spot in the competition as they are third in the group. Their place seems secured as they hold a 10-point lead over Serbia and Armenia who are the bottom teams in the cluster.

However, if Albania beat Portugal, they can climb in the top two of the table which means automatic qualification in France 2016 as there are only a few matches remaining.

Albania faced Denmark in their last European Cup battle and neither team failed to get a victory as they settled for a 0-0 draw.

Denmark enjoyed most of the possession but Albania's defence held strong and stopped a total of 15 shots coming their way.

The guests were able to pull off five shots but also failed to threaten Denmark in the match.

On the other hand, Portugal battled Armenia and they were threatened early in the game as Marcos Pizzelli scored in the 14th minute of the match.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo turned to savior again as he scored in the 29th minute and completed his hat-trick in the second half to give the Portuguese a 3-1 lead.

Armenia were able to score against but Ronaldo's goals were enough to keep their tough opponents at bay as they secured three points.

That impressive performance may come in handy as they face Albania as their earlier meeting in the competition resulted in a 1-0 win for Albania at Aveiro.

Bekim Balaj scored the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute to hand the Albanians the big victory.
