Alec Baldwin Slams Hank Williams Jr. on Twitter

Once again, Alec Baldwin used Twitter to voice his disapproval over another series of comments made by country music star Hank Williams Jr. during a recent concert in Texas.

Williams Jr. was performing at the Stockyards Music Festival on Sunday in Fort Worth when he expressed his anti-Obama sentiments to concertgoers.

"We've got a Muslim for a President who hates cowboys, hates cowgirls, hates fishing, hates farming, loves gays, and we hate him!" Williams was quoted as telling the crowd by The Dallas Morning News.

It follows similar comments made by Williams Jr. a few weeks ago when he was performing at a concert in Iowa.

Baldwin, never shy about voicing his opinions, took to Twitter to make a point of how exactly he feels about the country music singer.

"If Hank Williams Jr. wasn't such a pathetic, wheezing fossil, I'd have a talk with him," Baldwin tweeted from his verified account on Tuesday.

"I think we need to call Hank Williams Jr what he is.... A broken-down, senile, racist coot," he added.

Williams has made a point to show his discontent for the President and has used the stage recently to do just that.

During a recent concert at the Iowa State Fair Williams Jr. decided to reignite the debate about whether the president is a Muslim and using that claim to state that the president hates America.

"We've got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him," Williams Jr. was quoted as saying by The Des Moines Register at the time.

Local reports also indicate that the comments were met with loud cheers and clapping after Williams Jr. made the remarks after finishing the song "We Don't Apologize for America." It led the crowd to break into a chant of "USA! USA!" in Iowa- a state that will be very crucial in the 2012 election.

This is not the first time that Williams Jr. has made controversial comments about the President. In 2011, he was the subject of ridicule after he compared the president to Adolf Hitler during an interview on Fox.

As a consequence for his remarks, ESPN was forced to pull his song from Monday Night Football, which had been the theme song for the sports show for more than two decades.
