Alicia Keys Pregnant? Singer, Swizz Beatz 'Ecstatic' About Second Child (VIDEO)
Alicia Keys is rumored to be pregnant with her second child, more than one year after giving birth to her first child Egypt Daoud Ibarr Dean.
The singer, who is yet to confirm the rumors, is married to rapper Swizz Beatz, whose real name is Kasseem David Dean, and the couple is said to be "ecstatic" about the pregnancy. The couple has reportedly been hoping to have a baby girl, according to blogger Sandra Rose.
"She loves Egypt to death and she wants to give him a little sister to play with," a source allegedly told the blogger adding that Keys is "tired of being the only woman in the household."
The new addition will mark Keys' second child and Beatz's fifth, as he has three other children from previous relationships.
The 32-year-old took a short break from the spotlight after giving birth to baby Egypt on Oct. 14 2010, and prior to reports of a second pregnancy, Keys was said to be eager to return to the music scene. The singer has been busy working on her upcoming fifth studio album over the past eight months and she previously acknowledged that since taking a break from music, she has become a "different person."
"I've come to this place that the album is about to be ready and I feel just so crazy excited. It's like I'm a different person. I'm a new person. Everything is new, from being married and having a baby," Keys said in a personal video to her her fans which was posted on YouTube.
"I've become so much more intelligent and I survey the landscape more and try to come up with what's the best thing for me, what's the best thing for Egypt, what's the best thing for our family. I am hungry, I am an animal right now. I am just ready to be set free in a whole other way. When it comes to sharing this music with you, I am like a caged animal that's dying to escape," she added.
