'Alien: Isolation—The Collection' Contains All DLC, New Maps, Playable Characters & Challenges
Just when people thought it was over and done, action-adventure video game "Alien: Isolation" returns to the gaming scene to bring a package containing a whole lot of space and alien terror. According to International Business Times, the BAFTA award-winning game is re-released by publisher Sega with a new subtitle which is "Alien: Isolation—The Collection."
As the title suggests, the re-released version features the main game along with all the previously released downloadable content (DLC) of the game. Connected Digital World noted that it will also contain two standalone missions which is set in the starship Nostromo. Through it, players can experience once again the petrifying events from the original "Alien" film. They will play the character Ellen Ripley, who is the original protagonist, along with the members of her crew.
Gamers who have run through the games already can expect to find something new as there will be additional five mission packs included. It will come along with playable characters, challenges and new maps for the Survivor and Salvage modes.
They will also have the chance to play as Amanda Ripley, who is the daughter of Ellen. The mission is to find out what happened to her mother who disappeared after the space journey. They will be aboard the stricken space station, Sevastapol, together with a few survivors who are desperate to live and survive from the horrors of the enemy after them.
The game will not be like the other games in the "Alien" series though as there will only be one deadly alien that will be attacking the crew. Playing as Amanda, gamers will need to use stealth to successfully pass through most levels. They will also need to use their wit and salvage whatever materials they can find.
PlayStation Lifestyle noted that "Alien: Isolation—The Collection" is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It will cost $39.99 on consoles while it will be $59.99 on Steam.
