Amanda Bynes' recent behavior may have all been an act for publicity, if texts sent to her publicist, Jonathan Jaxson, are to be believed. Jaxson posted photos of the texts to his Twitter account, which are rather revealing.

"All this has been an act and you know it! I am an actress and know what I am doing," Bynes allegedly texted Jaxson.

"Seriously? I mean don't you know that drugs were apart [sic] of it and you may also have something mentally wrong?" he responded.

"I got to 2 million followers and now everyone wants me. I am smart and not stupid. Everyone mentions my name. The world loves me!" Bynes texted back. "Just wait and the world will see!"

Many have criticized Jaxson for posting the messages and claim that they are fake and most likely sent from an imposter. However, Jaxson maintains that the texts are real and that he only wants the best for Bynes.

"If you send me texts telling me you are doing this all as an act, I will let the world know," he tweeted. "Especially when soo many have been worried!"

Bynes' behavior has been unpredictable in the last months, with several arrests and charges of marijuana possession. The former actress has maintained that she is innocent of all charges of possession and interfering with a police investigation, but will still have to go before a judge.

Jaxson called police on Bynes after fearing for her life. He claimed that she was suicidal and needed help.

"I got police to be able to go to her home. I am told they found drugs and other things. I had proof she was suicidal. There were text messages and other things. I repeated all of this to the NYPD and they took it seriously," he told Radar Online.

Bynes' family has tried to help the star, but she reportedly refuses to see them.
