Amanda Bynes Wears Bright Blue Wig to Court (PHOTO)

Amanda Bynes stunned onlookers on Monday when she arrived in a New York courtroom wearing a bright blue wig.

The troubled actress, 27, appeared before a judge for a hearing stemming from reckless endangerment charges after police accused her of tossing out a foot-long bong pipe outside of her 36th floor apartment window. The case was continued to September 26, according to TMZ.com.

Bynes, whose behavior in recent months has raised concerns about her mental health, was arrested in May after a doorman inside her Manhattan apartment building called police claiming she was smoking marijuana in the lobby. Upon entering Bynes' apartment, the former Nickelodeon star allegedly tossed the bong pipe, which is often used to smoke marijuana.

Officers reportedly noted a "heavy smell of marijuana and smoke" and subsequently Bynes was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana, according to NBC News.

Bynes, who is fighting the charges, previously denied any wrongdoing and made explosive allegations against the NYPD which have since been investigated. The aspiring rapper claims that she was sexually assaulted shortly before her arrest.

"Don't believe the reports about me being arrested. It's all lies. I was sexually harassed by one of the cops the night before last which is who then arrested me," Bynes wrote on Twitter.

"He lied and said I threw a bong out the window when I opened the window for fresh air. Hilarious. He slapped my vagina. Sexual harassment. Big deal. I then called the cops on him," she continued "He handcuffed me, which I resisted, quite unlike any of the reports stated."

Critics fear that Bynes may be on a downward spiral due to her increasingly odd behavior. In addition to offensive and raunchy tweets, there have been frequent makeovers, which include a cheek piercing; several random solo outings; publicly smoking unknown substances; driving mishaps and ongoing legal woes.
