Amanda Knox Scores Book Deal to Tell Her Side of Meredith Kercher Murder Case

Amanda Knox reached a book deal with President Obama's book agent and she will release her side of the story in the Meredith Kercher murder case.

President of Seattle-based Martin Literary Management Sharlene Martin announced the deal on Sunday.

"This is a case I have followed from day one and never, not even for a moment, have I doubted the innocence of Raffaele Sollecito and Amanda Knox," said Martin in a statement.

Knox's announcement comes on the same day her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito signed a book deal.

Some expect Knox to release a book telling her side of what happened the night her roommate was found stabbed to death in their Italian villa.

Knox announced the legal representation of Bob Barnett. Barnett is based in Washington, D.C., and is a literary agent who is close contact with some of the nation's biggest political officials, including Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Knox's father said his daughter is ready to tell her story and that she kept a journal throughout her trial as well as her time spent in prison.

"She has an extraordinarily large number of journals she has maintained and it’s interesting they’re written in different languages. She processes the whole situation by writing it down," he told the Daily Mail.

Knox was arrested in late 2007 and convicted for the murder of Kercher in 2009. She served four years of a 26-year sentence before the decision was overturned in October 2011.
