Amanda Seyfried Mystery Man Comes After Dog: Pooch is 'My Best Friend'

Amanda Seyfried was spotted over the weekend on what appeared to be a date with a man who she has yet to identify. But building a relationship with him may be difficult, because another male stands in the way.

The "Letters to Juliet" star has apparently had a less romantic love life than many of her on-screen characters. But all of that could change with Seyfried's new mystery man, whom she was spotted on a date with over the weekend.

The couple was seen at the Darby restaurant in Manhattan, enjoying a cozy dinner on a chilly evening. Seyfried wore black skinny jeans with tall black boots and a tan overcoat. Her date, a man who the actress has been spotted with before, was dressed casual in dark jeans, a white button down shirt, and black dress shoes.

In pictures taken of the rendezvous, both ducked their head in a shy smile; Seyfried kept her arm looped through her date's. But despite the fact that the actress has been seen with the same man on more than a few occasions, she has yet to officially link herself to him or any other man, for that matter.

Instead, she has suggested that the only real man in her life is her dog, Finn. The actress spoke of the dog as her one true love in a recent interview, suggesting that he was not fond of her dating other men if it meant her coming home late.

"He's my best friend," Seyfried said in a recent interview, according to MailOnline. "I love him. I think of him and only him. I don't like to be out late because I just want to go home to my dog,"

In September, both Finn and the mystery man went out for a walk with Seyfried. Finn apparently chose the spot, a dog park at which he mingled with other dogs; Seyfried and the mystery man shared coffee in the meantime.
