Amazon 'Prime' Videos New Releases for June 2016: Here's the List of the Movies and the Series - Thumbs Up?
Exciting Offerings Await Viewers Including CBS Partnership
A list of fresh movies ant TV series will become available for viewing on Amazon Prime Video this June. A collaboration with CBS also gives users the chance to enjoy two new TV shows free for members.
Known to show some of the best contents on a streaming platform, Amazon Prime hopes to continuously provide its customers with new shows that will keep them busy for the entire month, Decider said. The offerings this June include classic movies and hit television shows which has attracted audiences in the United States.
Movies
"Wayne's World"
This 1992 comedy film stars Mike Myers, Dana Carvey and Rob Lowe, among others. IMDB said the story of the movie revolves on Wayne (Myers), who was hired to appear on a musical TV show with is buddy Garth. They end up both promoting their free public-access cable show to more viewers.
"The Program"
Rotten Tomatoes noted that this Stephen Frears masterpiece tells the true story of Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong. It follows his struggles with the support and also his battle with cancer. The main focus of the film was the organized doping program that took away from Armstrong his Tour de France titles. He also admitted to doping during his professional career.
"Love & Mercy"
Starring Paul Dano and John Cusack, this movie is about Beach Boys creator Brian Wilson. IMDB explained that main character suffers a mental breakdown at the peak of his career. A woman he falls in love with attempts to save him from becoming a victim of a psychotherapist who seemed to be only abusing his patient.
TV Shows
"Mr. Robot"
According to Decider, the first season (10 episodes) of the drama series will be aired on Prime beginning June 13. Main character Elliot is a cybersecurity engineer during the day but he also works as a hacker at night. Mr Robot targets to bring down corporate companies who are continuously destroying the world.
"The Good Wife"
Amazon Prime will show the last season of this political drama which had a seven-season run. Viewers who failed to follow what happened to political wife Alicia Florrick now have the chance to see it on the streaming service.
Aside from these offerings, Amazon Prime also partnered with CBS to stream new shoes "American Gothic" and "BrainDead." These series can be streamed on Amazon, three days after their premiere dates.
