'American Horror Story: Hotel' news, cast, spoilers: Sarah Paulson describes 'sexy' upcoming season
"American Horror Story: Hotel" (AHS) is coming back with a lot of changes and more excitement. Fans can't wait what show creator Ryan Murphy has up his sleeves this time around. There's no doubt that Jessica Lange's absence will definitely be felt, but other AHS veterans like Angela Basset and Evan Peters starring alongside new regulars like Matt Bomer and Lady Gaga is expected to fill in the void.
AHS veteran Sarah Paulson recently spoke with Vanity Fair about her upcoming role in AHS. Every season, Paulson takes on an entirely different character that truly shocases her talent to take on diverse roles. Despite debuting soon, there is still little known about what to expect from Hotel, as well as from Paulson.
Paulson says that the new season "generally is dark but it is very sexy." She goes on to add, "There's a lot of bumping in the night going in that hotel, and involving everybody. Lamp posts are getting lucky. It's really a lot of activity in that hotel… I have not done anything like this on the show before. To me, it's more reminiscent of season one in tone I think mixed with some of the comedy which I thought was very present in Coven. It's a nice amalgamation, a melting pot of all the seasons combined."
Paulson also opens up more about who she'll be portraying this season, Hypodermic Sally. Sally is a drug addict who will be checking into the hotel. Paulson gives a more in-depth description of Sally, saying, "I am not particularly nice. I'm selfish and greedy and I don't take a lot of showers so I stink too. I mean, that's not a plot point, I just don't think she smells very good."
Many are looking forward to Paulson taking on this challenge as her outstanding performances in the past have earned her continuous Emmy nominations, as she is on her third nomination for AHS.
American Horror Story: Hotel will be premiering on Oct. 7, 2015 on FX.
