'American Horror Story' Season 6 Update: New Video May Have Revealed the Season's Theme
"American Horror Story" Season 6 hints a monster in the mist; fans are not convinced that this is true.
The promotional teaser for Season 6 of the "American Horror Story" (AHS) has just become more complicated with another video trailer released by its creators. Apparently, an online site may have disclosed the actual theme for Season 6 but fans and viewers are still skeptical. After all the different teaser trailers they have seen for AHS, they still do not really know which one is real or not.
The site, Rotten Tomatoes, may have disclosed the theme of AHS with a headline that said "American Horror Story: The Mist." But it is important to remember that creator Ryan Murphy and FX have not made any official statements about the title or the plot of the next season. Fans commented that the site may have gotten ahead of itself and it should have placed a "spoiler" warning on its release.

AHS' Twitter aaccount posted an image from its "The Mist" trailer. The picture was captioned "You can't run from us… #AHS6." Comments began to pour in right after this tweet was published. Fans were not convinced that the Rotten Tomatoes release was a slip. Still, others pointed out that it was impossible that "The Mist" was the plot or the title of the next season, since this is the title of a novel by Stephen King. Some fans felt that this was another diversion just as what the creator said weeks ago—that they were simply having a lot of fun making the AHS teasers.
In the actual trailer released by FX, "The Mist" was just a few seconds long, but had all the elements of terror that fans have been used to in every AHS teaser. The promo showed a creature with very long arms and gleaming eyes was seen crawling along the tracks, making its way up the tracks.
Spoilers for Season 6?
The show has released quite a number of trailers for Season 6 and by now, fans are used to guessing which is which. Horrific images such as a haunted hospital, children of the corn, spiders crawling out of a woman's mouth, alien abductions, and so on were seen the past weeks. Each theme was completely different from the others hinting, that "The Mist" may have been another "fun" project for FX.
Fans of "American Horror Story" would just have to wait to find out what the theme for Season 6 really is. The show airs on September 14 on FX.
