'American Horror Story' Season 6 Spoilers: Theme Could Be Slender Man; Showrunners Want More Of Lady Gaga
The writers and producers of FX anthology horror series "American Horror Story" may still be working on their next scary theme, but reports are already out that the next AHS villain could be the Slender Man.
According to Us Weekly, a source has revealed that the FX drama will portray the spooky Creepypasta character, which became an Internet meme in 2009, for the show's forthcoming sixth season. The Slender Man is a tall, extremely thin, black-suited man with a blank face who stalks children and makes them do things for him. The character was created by Eric Knudsen for the website Something Awful.
"Someone else wrote the script, and AHS wants to adapt it to fit the show," the source revealed. The insider added: "They have to buy the rights. Then they're going to figure out the cast from there."
However, another source has denied this report, telling Entertainment Weekly that the news that the Slender Man will be the focus of Season 6 is "not true."
"American Horror Story" and FX have not confirmed any of the reports about the next season's villain.
Meanwhile, reports also indicate that the show's producers want Lady Gaga, who played the role of The Countess in "American Horror Story: Hotel," back for the next season.
The Mother Monster does seem to have enjoyed her stint at AHS, telling V Magazine, as quoted by Enstarz, "When I wasn't working on the show I was truly miserable because I had no safe house to get out any of my vices."
The singer says that now that she has a "safe house for her vices," things are clearer for her when she's making music. She explains, "I have a little less of an instinct to be reckless with my music now because I'm reckless in other places."
The sixth season of "American Horror Story" will begin airing in the fall.
