'American Horror Story' Season 7 Spoilers: Next 'Cult' Episode to Feature Mass Shooting
The upcoming episode of "American Horror Story" season 7 will start off with a mass shooting.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the next "Cult" episode, titled "Mid-Western Assassin," will open with an act of terror. Set during a political rally, a mass shooter will threaten the slew of people present. Other details remain under wraps.
Given the recent tragedy that took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, it is unknown whether FX will postpone the airing of the episode.
Fans can also look forward to Evan Peters embodying Andy Warhol in a future episode of the seventh season. Series creator Ryan Murphy recently took to Instagram to share a snap of Peters as the famous artist, and the resemblance is uncanny.
Peters told Entertainment Weekly in an interview that he prepared for the role by reading up on Warhol and watching videos of him.
"Ryan told me I was playing Andy Warhol and so I immediately started doing research on him and just fell in love with him," the actor said. "I thought he was amazing and the '60s and The Factory and that whole world to live in is so fun. So it was great to learn about him but challenging to get his mannerisms and his speech and his state of mind. I would just listen to him constantly."
Peters is likely going to make his appearance as Warhol in the seventh episode, which is titled "Valerie Solanas Died for Your Sins: Scumbag." Lena Dunham will be portraying the role of Valerie Solanas in the same episode. For those who are unaware, Solanas was an author who attempted to murder Warhol. Murphy previously revealed that the episode focuses on female rage.
"[Solanas] told all women to kill men, and it was their only way to rise to power," he said.
"American Horror Story" season 7 airs Tuesdays, at 10 p.m. EDT on FOX.
