'American Horror Story' Season 7 Spoilers: Who Are the Members of the Cult?

"American Horror Story: Cult," the seventh season of the recurring horror anthology on FX, focuses on a particularly fanatic group, like the title gives away. Two episodes later, the overall structure of this cult is beginning to be seen.

The first episode saw Kai Anderson (Evan Peters) as a manipulative, racist, power-hungry basement dweller who saw the elections as a chance to expand his reach. The 2016 election has been particularly divisive for Ally (Sarah Paulson) and Ivy Mayfair-Richards (Alison Pill), as Nerdist noted.

The same sordid affair, meanwhile, has reinvigorated Kai, so much that he stepped out of his basement to rally support for a few questionable proposals to the local courthouse. Mr. Chang, a friend of Ally and Ivy, dismantled his proposal, much to Kai's embarrassment.

"There's nothing more dangerous on this Earth than a humiliated man," Kai muttered on the way out, and that's when the cult started. The Changs were later murdered by a mysterious group of clowns, as seen by Ally's son Ozzy (Cooper Dodson), according to Romper.

Kai looks to be leading a cult, improbable as it sounds like. His reach might have taken in a few rowdy elements, perhaps the clowns that have been terrorizing the neighborhood. He's a lunatic, but apparently, he's a persuasive one at that, having Winter (Billie Lourd) as part of his group. The baby sitter has already gotten young Ozzy lying about the clowns and watching questionable videos already.

The Wiltons, Meadow (Leslie Grossman) and Harrison (Billy Eichner), are a brand of nutcase all their own. Incredibly devoted to bees, beehives and Nicole Kidman, a tenuous link already connects them to Kai's cult, with the cult just happening to have filmed Kai being "assaulted" by migrant workers from Mexico.

Could Ivy herself be one of the cult members, too? After her rift with Ally, she seemed to conveniently disappear whenever the clowns are hanging around harassing Ally, slowly driving her out of her mind. It seems to work, as Pedro shows up after Ivy called her over just as another clown incident is playing out, leading Ally to shoot him, as recapped by TVLine.
