Amiibo News: 'The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD' Amiibo Functionality Trailer Now Released

A new trailer was released by Nintendo Germany and it shows "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD" amiibo functionality.

According to Nintendo News, the new amiibo functionality will be for the new six "Zelda" game figures, and the trailer shows how each game figure functions. The website teased fans last November 2015 about the amiibo functions being added to "Twilight Princess HD" figures, but the functions were still unclear that time. Now that a trailer was released, gamers and fans can see how each toy gives different results when scanned in-game.

One of the functions that was mentioned is getting the Cave of Shadows unlocked, when players scan the Wolf Link amiibo. As previously reported by the website, players can get a special bundle that includes the Wolf Link amiibo once "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD" is released this March. Those who will pre-order the game will also get a bonus soundtrack as a reward.

Meanwhile, VG 24/7 reported that the Cave of Shadows is just very, very similar to the existing Cave of Ordeals, which is a 50-floor dungeon that can be found in the original "Twilight Princess" game. According to the website, the only difference between the two dungeons is that the Wolf Link amiibo must be used at all times on the Cave of Shadows, since this is where players can save their high scores.

The functions of the other amiibos include restoring arrows, which is done by tapping the Link and Toon amiibo, and getting extra life by using the Princess Zelda and Sheik amiibo.

"The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD" is scheduled to release on Wii U in the North America and Europe regions this coming March 4. Gamers from Japan can get themselves a copy of the game a week after, which is on March 10.
