Android 4.1, JellyBean Powered 7-inch Tablet Unveiled by Acer
An Android 4.1, JellyBean powered 7-inch tablet was unveiled by Acer at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this week.
This new slate runs JellyBean 4.1 out of the box and is called the Acer Iconia B1-A71.
The cost of this device will be €119 after taxes, which is equivalent to $156.04.

This tablet comes with a WSVGA 7-inch display that has a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. It also features a 1.2GHz dual-core Mediatek processor and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded with the use of a microSD card.Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity are also available on the device along with a front-facing camera and microUSB port.
The Acer Iconia B1-A71 will be released in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the middle of January.
Acer also introduced cross platform support for AcerCloud at CES, which is the company's file sharing and media management solution that comes free to Acer customers.
It allows them to share, retrieve, and enjoy their multimedia and data files using a variety of devices, regardless of what operating system they are running.
"With AcerCloud, Acer now supports free file sharing between all of the key mobile devices, adding tremendous value to Acer customers," said Acer President Jim Wong. "AcerCloud greatly simplifies our customers' ability to manage all of their digital assets across all of their devices, regardless of platform."
AcerCloud utilizes the free space on a PC's hard drive as cloud storage space. Users can simply designate one of their PCs as their Cloud PC enabling them to use the available hard drive space on it.
The new version of AcerCloud will be available this month and will be bundled with all Acer consumer PCs starting in the second quarter of 2013.
