Android 4.4 KitKat Update Now Available for Nexus 10, Download ROM Here
The Android 4.4 KitKat update is now available for the Google Nexus 10 tablet.
The software can be installed onto the device with a new ROM recently released in the XDA developers forum.
In order to install the ROM, users must meet some of the requirements. The first of them requires the Android SDK being installed, second they'll need a microUSB cable, it must be running the Android 4.3 JWR66Y and must have a stock factory image handy just in case anything goes wrong so they can flash back to stock without too much downtime.

The installation process can be performed by downloading the OTA zip file with this link, putting it on the root of the internal SD card, rebooting into the recovery by turning the device off then holding the volume up and down buttons while pressing the power button, using the option to apply update from external storage in recovery, and waiting for it to finish.
The Nexus 10 is one of many devices to receive a ROM for the latest Google software. They are also expected to hit both versions of the Nexus 7 and Nexus 4.
Android 4.4 KitKat was introduced by Google earlier this month alongside the brand new Nexus 5 smartphone.
The software is designed to be installed on a wide range of devices including older models that only have 512MB RAM.
"KitKat streamlines every major component to reduce memory use and introduces new APIs and tools to help you create innovative, responsive, memory-efficient applications," said Google on its developer's website.
The software is designed to protect system memory from apps consuming large amounts of RAM. Android will launch the services serially, or in small groups in order to avoid peak memory demands.
